Everything you need to know before booking a group shoot or private booking day at 360ism Studios in downtown Richmond, Virginia.
360ism Studios is a full production studio in downtown Richmond with an established photographer community, a booking system that actually works, and a team that promotes your date rather than leaving it to you.
We host group shoots, private booking days, portfolio sessions, model workshops, and featured appearances. Traveling models book with us year-round, and a lot of them come back.
Before you do, read this page. It explains exactly what we provide, what you provide, and how you get paid — because the worst version of this business is a model who flies somewhere on an assumption.
Most traveling models book the first one. The second is rare, and we want to be straight about that up front.
You’re traveling to Richmond on your own schedule. We give you a date, a studio, a booking page, and real promotion. You arrange your own travel and lodging. You’re paid out of the sessions that actually book.
You set your own hourly rate. We agree a split on group shoot and private session revenue, and you’re paid on what books. Group shoots carry a 20% studio fee taken before your share is calculated.
There is no guaranteed payment. If bookings come in light, you earn less. If they come in very light, we may reduce, convert, or cancel the date — and in that case nothing is owed on either side. We don’t fund travel for a visiting model booking, so we’re not in a position to guarantee an outcome we don’t control.
Sometimes we seek out a model specifically — because her following, her name, or her draw is going to sell sessions on its own. When we do that, the arrangement is different in every meaningful way.
Most traveling models don’t qualify for this, and that’s not a judgment on your work. It’s a judgment about whether your public following alone will fill a Saturday in Richmond. If we’re offering it, you’ll know — it will be written on your booking confirmation. If it isn’t written there, it isn’t the deal.

This is the part models skip, and it’s the part that decides whether your date is worth flying in for.
We promote hard on our side. We need you to promote on yours. A story repost is appreciated — it is not enough, and it doesn’t fill sessions.

That last one fills the remaining slots more often than anything else on the list.
This is the part worth reading twice.
Before we promote anything, you confirm the hours you’re available and committing to. We build the booking schedule around those hours, publish it, and photographers reserve and pay for specific times.
Once that schedule is published, those hours are held. They can’t be shortened, started late, ended early, carved up, or pulled to fit in another shoot without our written approval.
We’re direct about this because it’s the thing that goes wrong most often. When hours come out of a live schedule, photographers who already paid for a specific time lose it. We issue refunds, rebuild the day, and explain it to people who planned around it. Unlike a cancelled date, the damage has already happened by the time anyone can fix it.
So: confirm hours you can actually honor. Account for travel, other bookings, rest, and turnaround before you confirm. If you need a change once the schedule is live, ask us in writing as early as you can — we’ll work with you where we reasonably can.
This doesn’t limit what you do outside those hours. Book whatever you like around them. We just need the hours you gave us to be hours we can sell.
You’re free to book other studios, photographers, and events while you’re in the area. We don’t restrict that on a visiting model booking, and we’re not going to pretend you flew across the country for one afternoon.
What we ask is that you tell us — especially anything within 21 days either side of your 360ism date, anywhere in Virginia, Hampton Roads, Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Williamsburg, Northern Virginia, DC, Maryland, or North Carolina. And tell us if you’re running your own group shoot or workshop nearby.
This isn’t a restriction. It’s scheduling. Two group shoots in the same market in the same week split the same photographers, and we’d rather move a date than watch both underperform. Disclosed early, almost anything can be worked around. Discovered after promotion starts, it usually can’t.
And it’s ongoing, not one-time. If something new lands on your calendar after you’ve confirmed — another shoot, an appearance, a travel change — tell us within 48 hours. We’re building a schedule around your availability, and we can only work around what we know about.
A date stays tentative until all of this is done:
We don’t spend on flyers or photographer outreach before that’s finished, and we won’t ask you to promote a date that isn’t locked.
We agree wardrobe level, posing boundaries, and content limits in writing before your date, and those boundaries hold on the day. Nothing in our booking process requires you to shoot outside what you agreed to, and you can stop a session at any point.
You’ll need to be 18 or over and provide a government photo ID for our records before shooting.
We expect prompt communication, on-time arrival, and professionalism — from you and from us.
We keep a limited number of good dates each quarter, and they go to models who promote clearly, honor the hours they committed to, accept Collab posts, communicate, respect the booking process, and show up ready. That’s the whole list. It’s not complicated and it’s not political.
